The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

enabling Koltun to counter with a crisp jab.
Koltun connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Rome momentarily.

letting Koltun counter with a right hand.
A nice inside leg kick there by Koltun. That's going to slow Rome down.

Rome throws a solid leg kick but Koltun takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Rome.

Koltun is looking to slow Rome down with leg kicks.
Koltun cracks a nice hook into Rome's ribs.
Koltun fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Rome.
Rome takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Rome throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Koltun uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Rome has time to react.
Rome takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Rome moves forwards but Koltun connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Rome jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Rome takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Koltun digs a good body shot into Rome's ribs.

Rome tries a low kick but Koltun avoids it.

Koltun lands a glancing blow to the side of Rome's head.

and Rome takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Rome's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Oh Rome is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Koltun pushes Rome against the cage. Koltun is working some dirty boxing. Koltun pushes off with a quick right hook! Rome goes down! Rome tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Koltun moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
