The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Excellent takedown into side control there by Poffo.
Tavau is looking for a sweep.
Tavau sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Tavau keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Poffo looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Poffo is looking to take a break and control but Tavau is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Tavau is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Tavau moves into full guard.
Poffo wanted to stand there but Tavau had control of the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Poffo trying to control the position from guard on top but Tavau is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Tavau is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Poffo wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Tavau's closed guard. He's half up but Tavau has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Tavau pivots and extends the arm, Poffo falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Tavau! Well done that man!
