Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Big Mike (ranked 1993 p4p, 214 weight class) and Frankie Ngannou (ranked 2579 p4p, 279 weight class). Mike's entrance music is Til I Collapse. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frankie Ngannou!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Taro Takaoka and Tatsuya Matsuyama.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ngannou throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Ngannou misses with a left hand
and Mike counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Mike lands a big uppercut and Ngannou crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Ngannou looks OK. Mike waves Ngannou back to his feet!

Ngannou is rocked!
Ngannou throws a low kick but it's checked well by Mike.
Ngannou is still on wobbly legs! Can Mike finish him?
Mike swings for the body but Ngannou moves out of range.
Mike throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Ngannou sees it coming and avoids it easily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Mike lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Ngannou head around and knocks him out cold! Mike hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Big Mike!
After the fight, Big Mike was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
