Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jose The Blitz (ranked 364 p4p, 44 weight class) and Beta Knox (ranked 1007 p4p, 109 weight class). Knox has chosen Anthrax | Fight Em Till You Can't as his entrance music. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jose The Blitz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Beta Knox!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Dean Styles and Eddie Farnsworth.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knox misses with a body shot.
The Blitz misses with a leg kick.
Knox throws an ugly left hook that misses

and The Blitz counters with a shoot takedown. Knox fights it but they end up in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Knox wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and The Blitz is now in half guard.
The Blitz content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Knox trying to get back to full guard but The Blitz takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The Blitz is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Knox to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Knox shrugs it off.
Knox is looking to improve his position but The Blitz isn't that keen on the idea.

The Blitz wants to control the pace but Knox is squirming around nicely.
Knox is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, The Blitz has taken his back.

The Blitz seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

The Blitz is working for a rear naked choke. Knox is not defending it well and The Blitz has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Knox refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Knox's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jose The Blitz!
Jose The Blitz decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
