Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Paul Tyler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jesse Kilpatrick!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yuuki Gou and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tyler tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kilpatrick swivels and escapes.
Kilpatrick just misses with a punch to the body.

Tyler takes the fight into the clinch.

Tyler has hold of one of Kilpatrick's legs. Kilpatrick is fighting the takedown attempt but Tyler gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Kilpatrick wants to sweep here but Tyler controlling him for the moment.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tyler has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Kilpatrick is still trying to improve position.
Kilpatrick lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Kilpatrick postures up in Tyler's guard and throws a big left but Tyler blocks it.
Kilpatrick has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Kilpatrick is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Kilpatrick stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tyler swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Kilpatrick throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Tyler works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Kilpatrick postures up in Tyler's guard and throws a big left but Tyler blocks it.

Kilpatrick looking to sit in guard and control but Tyler gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Kilpatrick is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Kilpatrick is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Kilpatrick lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Kilpatrick is nestled in close to Tyler, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Kilpatrick thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Tyler's head.
Kilpatrick seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Kilpatrick looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Tyler has hold of Kilpatrick's hands but Kilpatrick slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Kilpatrick seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Kilpatrick looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Tyler with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Tyler on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Tyler tries to get out of the position.
Tyler is breathing heavily.
Kilpatrick is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Kilpatrick not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Kilpatrick working over Tyler with some ground and pound. Tyler looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Tyler won't allow Kilpatrick to pass to mount.

Kilpatrick looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Tyler avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Kilpatrick.
Kilpatrick is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Kilpatrick content to control rather than advance.

Tyler is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kilpatrick winds up and cracks Tyler with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Oh Tyler is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kilpatrick lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Tyler! More strikes land and this one is all over! Kilpatrick jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jesse Kilpatrick!
During a confident post fight interview, Jesse Kilpatrick thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
