Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Antonio Santana (ranked 2595 p4p, 303 weight class) and Vinnie Danzig Jr. (ranked 2893 p4p, 336 weight class). Santana comes to the cage accompanied by Check My Swag. Danzig Jr. comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Gouryella - Tenshi kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Vinnie Danzig Jr. has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Danzig Jr. avoids the body shot from Santana.
Santana tries to land a front kick but Danzig Jr. steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Santana scores with a shot to the body.
Danzig Jr. tries to move into range but Santana moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Santana cracks the inside of Danzig Jr.'s front leg.
Danzig Jr. tries a head kick but it misses.

Danzig Jr. misses with a hook. Santana ducked under it nicely.
Santana lands with a kick to the ribs.
We've been hearing reports that Santana has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Santana feints and then cracks Danzig Jr.'s leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Danzig Jr. down.

and Santana counters with a straight right hand.

Danzig Jr. connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Santana momentarily.
Danzig Jr. swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Danzig Jr. will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Santana was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Santana throws a lazy right hand but Danzig Jr. sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Santana thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Danzig Jr. if he has to take too many more of those.

Santana appears to be looking for a big counter.
Santana dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Danzig Jr.. That did some damage!

Santana loads up on a big right hand but Danzig Jr. slips the punch.
Santana lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Santana moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Danzig Jr. leaves his chin hanging out and Santana seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Danzig Jr. crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
