PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Baltasar Halko (ranked 2788 p4p, 109 weight class) and Ijsa Mohammed (ranked 2624 p4p, 101 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Halko might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Lumberjack by Jackyl. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Halko misses with a few strikes there.
Mohammed takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Mohammed connects with a right hand. Halko shakes it off.
Mohammed throws a right and a left that Halko avoids nicely.
Halko steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Mohammed.
As Mohammed looks to move away, Halko throws a big counter combo but Mohammed just gets out of the way.
Mohammed is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Halko.
Mohammed stuns Halko with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

As Halko backs off Mohammed throws a huge counter combo but Halko manages to avoid it all.

Halko throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Halko looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mohammed is fending him off so far but Halko persists. Nope, Mohammed circles away and we're back to standing.
Halko walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Mohammed stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Halko lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mohammed circles away quickly and effectively.
Mohammed tries to bum rush Halko with a series of wild strikes but Halko uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Halko pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Mohammed back to the cage. Halko follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Mohammed's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Mohammed duly obliges.

It looks like Baltasar Halko has been cut.
Halko misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Halko closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Mohammed to the mat! Mohammed manages to get full guard.

Halko is standing up over Mohammed. Mohammed looks to escape but Halko dives into side control.
Mohammed is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Halko is controlling him well.

Mohammed is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Halko is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Mohammed is defending well though. Halko let's go of the attempt for now.
