Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Randy Poffo (ranked 716 p4p, 95 weight class) and Lasse Alatalo (ranked 839 p4p, 110 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
15 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Randy Poffo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
17 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lasse Alatalo!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alatalo moves out of range of the leg kick from Poffo.
We've been informed that Alatalo has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
A telegraphed right hand from Poffo misses the target.

Poffo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Alatalo tries to avoid it but Poffo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Alatalo to the ground. Alatalo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Poffo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Alatalo swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Alatalo wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Poffo is now in half guard.
Poffo looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Alatalo with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Alatalo is sitting in close to Poffo's body. Poffo has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Alatalo is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Alatalo is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Poffo.
