PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Brad Eardley (ranked 5315 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tucker Lane (ranked 7231 p4p, 0 weight class). Tucker Lane told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lane lands with a good body shot.
Eardley changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lane tries to avoid it but Eardley manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lane to the ground. Lane escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Eardley displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lane throws out the jab.
Lane fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Eardley looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Lane misses with a left hand
and Eardley counters with a left to the body.
Eardley takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Lane connects with a body shot that sends Eardley's belly button to the back.
Lane lands with a hook. Eardley tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Lane lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Eardley at a distance.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nice uppercut lands for Lane. That snapped Eardley's head back.
Lane throws a good cross that connects.
Eardley takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Eardley tries to bum rush Lane with a series of wild strikes but Lane uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Tucker Lane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Lane lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Lane throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Eardley sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Eardley appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Lane digs a good hook to Eardley's body.
Lane stuns Eardley with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Lane thuds a left hand into Eardley's body.
Tucker Lane is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Lane paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Lane is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Eardley.
Lane dips to his left and cracks Eardley with an uppercut!
Lane fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Eardley on the side of the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lane connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Eardley's hands.
Lane smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Eardley has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Lane finds it's way round the side to connect with Eardley's head.

Lane throws an overhand right that lands on Eardley's shoulder, as Eardley tries to avoid the shot.
Lane scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Lane feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Eardleys jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Lane looks to land a left hand but Eardley moved out of range nicely.

Eardley is rocked!
Lane scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Eardley doesn't seem bothered though.
Oh Eardley is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Eardley gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Lane gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
