Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Mikson (ranked 3608 p4p, 465 weight class) and Kurt Wagner (ranked 3195 p4p, 411 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Wagner's choice of entrance music: No Easy Way Out. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Bruno Hogan and Ron Honeybunn.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wagner stuffs the takedown attempt from Mikson. Mikson gets slowly back to his feet.
Mikson closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Wagner's guard.
Mikson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Wagner throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Wagner working for a triangle but Mikson defends it easily.
Mikson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wagner swivels though and keeps the full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Mikson drops back, looking for a kneebar! Wagner looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Wagner looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Wagner!

Wagner throws a strike aimed at the side of Mikson's head but Mikson avoids it well.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Wagner working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Mikson is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at GnP, so we'll see if he gets out of it.
