The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Thompson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mccullough, pushing him back against the cage.
Thompson lands a left hand that snaps the head of Mccullough backwards.

Mccullough's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Mccullough shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Thompson as he avoids it easily.

Thompson has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Mccullough has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Thompson gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Mccullough regains guard.

Mccullough doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Mccullough takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Thompson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

As Thompson looks to move away, Mccullough throws a big counter combo but Thompson just gets out of the way.

Thompson decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Thompson drives through and clinches with Mccullough against the cage.
Mccullough drops down looking for an ankle pick but Thompson pulls his leg out and moves away.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Mccullough enables Thompson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Mccullough manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Thompson is standing up over Mccullough. Mccullough looks to escape but Thompson dives into side control.

Thompson just content to control the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Loius Thompson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Thompson wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Mccullough uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Thompson jabs Mccullough to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Mccullough really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Mccullough closes the distance and clinches.
Mccullough jumps guard but Thompson stands there with Mccullough around his waist. Mccullough gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Well Thompson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
