The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Black stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Black wants it to stay on the feet.
Iruscek misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Black is looking for the big counter here.
We've been hearing reports that Iruscek has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Black looks to land a combination but Iruscek avoids it well.
Iruscek shoots in but Black avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tvica Iruscek. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Black misses with a double jab.
Iruscek dives in for a single leg takedown but Black sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Despite the aggression on Black's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Black gets in close and tags Iruscek with a short punch that almost sends Iruscek to the mat! Oh Iruscek is in big trouble! He turns his back on Black, trying to create some distance but Black rushes him, striking wildly and Iruscek goes down! The referee tackles Black into the cage to end the fight! Black is one violent man!

After the fight, Kollin Black was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
