Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Henrique Gusmao (ranked 23702 p4p, 530 weight class) and Zardu Hasselfrau (ranked 6135 p4p, 425 weight class). Hasselfrau has chosen Guardians Inferno as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hasselfrau fails in his attempt to clinch.

Gusmao jabs Hasselfrau to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Hasselfrau moves forwards but Gusmao connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Hasselfrau moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Gusmao fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

The fighters circle momentarily. Gusmao darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

It looks like Zardu Hasselfrau has been cut.
Gusmao is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Gusmao uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Hasselfrau tries to clinch up but Gusmao circles away and keeps his distance.
We've been told by Gusmao's head coaches at Kevin Spacey's House of Squats & Grabs that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Hasselfrau misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hasselfrau wants to clinch up but Gusmao keeps it at a distance.

Hasselfrau shoots for a double leg takedown but Gusmao sprawls well. He's pushed Hasselfrau's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
