The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Redcliffe lands a big head kick that sends Brandt tumbling to the mat! Redcliffe takes a step backwards and waves Brandt back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Brandt is rocked!
It looks like Robbie Brandt has been cut.
Redcliffe rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Brandt moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Brandt is still on wobbly legs! Can Redcliffe finish him?
Brandt slips under a jab.
Brandt avoids a punch combination nicely.
Brandt steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Redcliffe.
Brandt scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Brandt is landing with some decent strikes but Redcliffe is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Brandt looking to break Redcliffe's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Redcliffe remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Brandt will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

We've been informed that Brandt has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Brandt dives in for a single leg takedown but Redcliffe sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Redcliffe feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Redcliffe uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Brandt.
Brandt tries to clinch up but Redcliffe circles away and keeps his distance.
Redcliffe was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Redcliffe feinted there with a counter leg kick.

and Brandt counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Redcliffe looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Brandt puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Redcliffe wants to improve his position but Brandt is controlling well.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Brandt gets to mount! Redcliffe was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Robbie Brandt has got the better of the ground game so far.
Redcliffe tries to improve his position but instead Brandt has taken his back!
Brandt is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Redcliffe has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Brandt has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Redcliffe taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Brandt doesn't care though - he's delighted!
