Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Possum shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Torres as he jumps to the side.
It looked like Torres was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Possum tries to score a power double leg takedown but Torres sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Possum somewhat.
Possum fails with the takedown
and Torres counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Paulo Torres has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Greg Possum.
Possum misses with a takedown
and Torres counters with a series of strikes. Possum will be more careful next time no doubt.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Possum is defended easily by Torres.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Torres clinches up with Possum and pushes him back against the cage.

Possum changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Torres fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Possum drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Torres will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Possum stops Torres from standing up.
Torres trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Possum working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Torres's head.
Possum stands up over Torres, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Possum lands a couple of digs.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Torres manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Torres is pressed up against the cage. Possum has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Torres down to the mat. Torres avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Possum shoots in and gets a takedown into Torres's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Torres pushes Possum off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Torres stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Torres wants it to stay on the feet.
Torres went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Torres tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Possum manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Possum shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Torres counters with a series of strikes. Possum will be more careful next time no doubt.

Torres throws a big counter combination but Possum scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Torres kicks Possum off and gets back to his feet.

and Torres counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Possum shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Torres manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Torres tries to close the distance and clinch but Possum swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Possum postures up and lands a big shot to Torres's brow.
Torres wants to stand up but Possum is controlling him.
Possum arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Torres's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
