PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Jakub Chlapik (ranked 3250 p4p, 71 weight class) and Bode Muller (ranked 2746 p4p, 67 weight class). Chlapik comes to the ring accompanied by PIPES AND PINTS / Criticized . Muller has chosen Feuer Frei as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Aafke Stam and Albert Achterberg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chlapik feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Mullers jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Chlapik blocks a jab.
Jakub Chlapik seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Muller bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Chlapik throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Chlapik uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Muller scores with a punch to the head.
Muller slips a jab and a cross from Chlapik.

The fighters circle momentarily. Muller darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Chlapik throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Chlapik lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

Muller tries a body shot but Chlapik blocks it.

Chlapik breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Chlapik connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Muller throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Muller tries to keep at a distance but Chlapik has taken the fight into the clinch.

Chlapik's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Muller loads up on a big right hand but Chlapik slips the punch.
Chlapik was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Nice uppercut there from Muller.
Chlapik on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

It looks like Jakub Chlapik has been cut.
Nice straight punches there by Muller. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Muller.
Muller looks to score with a jab to the body but Chlapik is just out of range.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Some bone on bone action there as Chlapik checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Chlapik throws a right and a left that Muller avoids nicely.
Muller throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Chlapik on the side of the head.

Chlapik is rocked!

Muller takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Chlapik rushes Muller and presses him up against the ropes.

Chlapik escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A jab lands there for Muller.
Oh Chlapik is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Muller cracks Chlapik with a perfect right hand that drops him to the mat! Chlapik is sitting up but I can't see if he's OK from my position. The referee's count has reached 5,6,7 and Chlapik is still not up. Can he make it? 8,9,10! He's out! Chlapik could not beat the count!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Bode Muller!
A relieved looking Bode Muller thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
In defeat, Jakub Chlapik stepped up to the mic, saying 'HE'S ON STEROIDS! IM TELLIN YA HE IS!'.
