Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ben Elliot (ranked 4059 p4p, 518 weight class) and Tommy McLoughlin (ranked 6351 p4p, 651 weight class). Elliot kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Dropkick Murphys - I'm Shipping Up To Boston. Ben Elliot has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ben Elliot!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Tommy McLoughlin!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Gwen Towbar and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McLoughlin gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Elliot counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
McLoughlin takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Elliot dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
McLoughlin shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Elliot defends it nicely.

Ben Elliot has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tommy McLoughlin.

and Elliot cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Elliot wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Tommy McLoughlin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McLoughlin takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A jab lands there for Elliot.
Elliot jabs McLoughlin right on the nose. McLoughlin blinks but takes it well.
Elliot throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
It looks like Tommy McLoughlin has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round.
McLoughlin takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
McLoughlin is rocked!
Elliot cracks McLoughlin with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! McLoughlin falls to his knees and Elliot doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ben Elliot!
