PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ray Bundles (ranked 291 p4p, 46 weight class) and Roy Batty (ranked 2138 p4p, 246 weight class). Bundles comes to the cage accompanied by It's Tricky by Run DMC. Batty is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: I've seen things you people wouldn't believe.... Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bundles pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Batty closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Batty has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Bundles is pushing Batty up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Batty wants the takedown. Bundles is fighting it off but Batty persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Bundles's guard against the cage.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Batty accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Bundles is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Batty is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
