Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Trevor Anderson!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Robert Douchet and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson throws a right hand that Burke ducks under and follows up with a left that Burke also avoids with ease.
A combination from Anderson does no damage.
Burke throws a counter high kick but Anderson was just alert enough to avoid it.
Anderson displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Burke.
Anderson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Burke looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.
Anderson throws a left and a right that both miss
and Burke counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Burke is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

and Burke counters by moving into the clinch.
Burke tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Burke has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Anderson uses from the top position.

Anderson is fighting to break Burke's control of his arms but Burke is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Anderson would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Burke working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Anderson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Anderson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
