Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jazz Clementine (ranked 1217 p4p, 132 weight class) and Daichi Kishimoto (ranked 657 p4p, 76 weight class). Daichi Kishimoto has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Jazz Clementine's chin.

With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jazz Clementine!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Daichi Kishimoto!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Ben Watson and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clementine changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kishimoto is defended easily by Clementine.
Clementine has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Jazz Clementine seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Clementine misses with a hook. Kishimoto ducked under it nicely.
Clementine cracks Kishimoto with a right hand to the side of the head.
Clementine swings for the body but Kishimoto moves out of range.
Kishimoto changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Kishimoto walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Clementine fails to land with a series of punches.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Kishimoto! But no joy.
Clementine slaps away a takedown attempt from Kishimoto, before circling back to the center of the mat.
The crowd cheers as Clementine lands an impressive looking overhand right. Kishimoto doesn't seem phased though.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kishimoto drops back looking for a leg! Clementine is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Clementine manages to kick Kishimoto off! Kishimoto jumps back into Clementine's guard.

Clementine has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kishimoto is working away from the top position though.
