Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Omise Go (ranked 5527 p4p, 526 weight class) and Will Martin (ranked 5657 p4p, 532 weight class). Omise Go could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Will Martin's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Omise Go!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Will Martin!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Martin with that takedown attempt.

Go gets a clinch.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Martin.
Martin has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Go avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Martin blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Martin has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Go is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Omise Go has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Will Martin.
Go tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Go lands a hook to the side of the head.
Go misses with a hook from the clinch.
Go swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Go letting Martin take a breather here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Go misses with a punch on the inside.
Martin is working for takedown but Go is calmly controlling the position for now.
Go gets underhooks to prevent Martin's takedown attempt.
Martin changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Go fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Go looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Go misses with a hook. Martin ducked under it nicely.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Martin tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Go swivels and escapes.
Martin staying out of range there.
Go throws a nice looking combination but Martin bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Go throws an overhand right that lands on Martin's shoulder, as Martin tries to avoid the shot.
Martin defending well as Go loads up on a big left hand.
Go throws a lazy right hand but Martin sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Martin changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Go ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Martin uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Go.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Martin! But no joy.
Martin fails with a takedown attempt.
A nice combination there by Go.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Go misses with a looping left.
Go rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Martin counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Go pushes Martin off looking to stand but Martin dives back in and keeps control.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Martin working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Martin seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.


It looks like Omise Go has been cut.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Martin winds up and cracks Go with a swinging punch to the side of the head.


Go is rocked!


Omise Go's cut is getting worse.
Go is trying to stand back up but Martin is controlling him

Martin decides to return to a standing position.
Go throws a lazy uppercut

and Martin counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Martin.
Martin lands a couple of digs.


Jeez, Omise Go's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
Martin throws a strike but Go rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Martin trying to control the position here.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Go is pushing down on Martin's leg trying to pass to half guard. Martin is fighting to maintain full guard but Go has managed to sneak the leg through.
Go tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Martin.
Martin pushes Go off looking to stand but Go dives back in and keeps control.

Go is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Go wants to free his trapped foot but Martin is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Martin is trying to escape back to his feet but Go uses the scramble to pass into side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Martin wants to get back to his feet but Go drags him back down.
Martin is looking to reverse the position.
Go tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Martin is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Go has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Go swings around for an armbar but Martin sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Go's guard.
Go is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Martin is controlling him.
Martin throwing strikes from guard but Go blocks nicely.
Martin connects with a couple of short punches.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Omise Go dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Omise Go's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Go looks to score with a jab to the body but Martin is just out of range.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Omise Go's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Will Martin!
During a confident post fight interview, Will Martin thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
