Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Garrett Turner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, David Eriksen!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Eriksen has closed the distance and engaged Turner in a clinch.
Turner jumps guard but Eriksen stands there with Turner around his waist. Turner gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Eriksen is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Turner keeps control of Eriksen as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Turner fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Turner is trying to pull guard but Eriksen has him pressed against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Garrett Turner. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Eriksen looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Turner is trying to maintain a safe position but Eriksen gets an underhook and turns Turner into the cage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Eriksen kicks Turner off and gets to his feet.
Turner stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Turner wants it to stay on the feet.
David Eriksen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Turner shoots in for a takedown but Eriksen shows good takedown defense.
Eriksen unleashes a big counter combination but Turner bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Eriksen lands an overhand right.


It looks like Garrett Turner has been cut.
Turner could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Eriksen clinches with his opponent.
Eriksen has Turner pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Turner manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Turner tries to break the clinch but Eriksen is controlling the position.
Turner tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Eriksen has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Turner uses from the top position.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Turner is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Eriksen is controlling him.

Eriksen is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Turner throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Turner is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

and Eriksen connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Turner tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Turner bucks up and tries to throw Eriksen off but instead Eriksen has got his back!

Eriksen content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Eriksen has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Eriksen is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

Eriksen is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Turner defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

You can see the frustration on Turner's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Eriksen is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Turner has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Eriksen is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Turner knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Turner for a finish.

Eriksen tries to pull guard but Turner holds him up against the cage and eventually Eriksen drops back down to his feet.

Eriksen blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Eriksen misses with a knee strike.
Eriksen gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Turner.

Turner drops down looking for an ankle pick but Eriksen pulls his leg out and moves away.
Eriksen is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Turner throws a nice looking combination but Eriksen bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Eriksen doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Eriksen connects with a looping right hand.
Turner on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Eriksen lands a slapping body shot.
Eriksen tries for a takedown but Turner sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Nice takedown defense from Turner. No joy for Eriksen on that attempt.
Eriksen closes the distance and clinches up with Turner, looking for a takedown. Eriksen pushes Turner against the cage but Turner circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Eriksen looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Turner is fending him off so far but Eriksen persists. Nope, Turner circles away and we're back to standing.
Turner fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Eriksen avoids it really well and circles away.

Eriksen has taken the fight to the clinch.
Turner has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Eriksen is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Eriksen decides to pull guard.

Eriksen uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Eriksen has Turner up against the cage in a clinch.

Eriksen breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Oooooh!!! Eriksen has knocked Turner down with a huge combo! Eriksen steps away and waves a wobbly Turner back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!


Turner is rocked!
Eriksen connects with a superb combination that knocks Turner out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Eriksen before he can land any more shots to the unconscious Turner!
