The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Romo closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Aldo really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Romo on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Romo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Romo lands a nice looking body shot.
Romo is looking to chop away at Aldo's legs.
Aldo lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Anderson Aldo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Aldo misses with a double jab

and Romo moves into the clinch.

Romo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Romo bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Aldo's head backwards.
Aldo tries to close the distance and clinch up but Romo swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Aldo fails in his attempt to clinch.
Romo wants to counter the offense by Aldo and move into the clinch position.
Romo on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Aldo misses with a low kick.
Aldo tries to score with a low kick but Romo moves his leg out of the way.
Romo scores with a shot to the body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Romo, right into the meat.
Aldo moves in looking to clinch but Romo pushes him off.
Romo keeps the fight on the outside.
Romo tried to score with a low kick but Aldo checks it.

Romo fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Aldo, pushing him back against the cage.

Aldo is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Romo is defending well for now.

Romo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Romo keeps the fight on the outside.
Aldo takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Aldo is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Aldo connects with a solid leg kick.
Aldo takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Aldo walks forward, straight into a front kick from Romo.

Romo lands a big head kick that sends Aldo tumbling to the mat! Romo takes a step backwards and waves Aldo back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Aldo is rocked!

Aldo throws a leg kick but Romo checks it.
Oh Aldo is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Romo scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Romo throws a shot to the body.

Nice body punch from Romo.
Romo wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Aldo seems to have got his legs back now.

Romo cracks Aldo with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Romo has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Aldo to stand back up!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Romo feints a jab and as Aldo dips his head, Romo unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Aldo right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Aldo falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Romo smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.
