Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marvin Vaughn (ranked 5945 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eugene Abhijay (ranked 5944 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marvin Vaughn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Eugene Abhijay!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vaughn is looking to clinch but Abhijay is avoiding it.

Abhijay darts in and clinches Vaughn up against the cage.
Abhijay tries to break free but Vaughn pushes him back against the cage.

Vaughn has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Abhijay regains guard immediately.
Vaughn wants to stand but Abhijay is controlling his posture from full guard.
Abhijay wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Abhijay has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Vaughn has passed into side control.

Abhijay fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Vaughn to the ground. Abhijay is now in Vaughn's guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Abhijay is looking to advance position but Vaughn won't allow it.

Abhijay seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Vaughn does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Abhijay shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Vaughn is trying to defend but Abhijay finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Vaughn is refusing to be controlled, as Abhijay sits in half guard.
Vaughn regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Abhijay.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Vaughn is on top in guard.

Abhijay had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Vaughn defends it easily.

Abhijay pushes Vaughn off and gets back to his feet.

Vaughn closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Abhijay is looking to get back to is feet but Vaughn passes into side control.
Abhijay is looking for a sweep.

Vaughn gets to mount! Abhijay was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Abhijay reaches up to try and control the position but Vaughn seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Abhijay rolls and tries to escape and now Vaughn has his back!
Abhijay is trying to break free.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Abhijay is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Vaughn.

Abhijay wants to control his opponent's hands but Vaughn gets his hands free.

Abhijay is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Vaughn is staying active.
Abhijay is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Abhijay is breathing heavily.
Abhijay is keeping busy.
Vaughn just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
I really don't envy Abhijay right now.

That was a close second round but I would say that Marvin Vaughn will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!



Abhijay gets tackled into the cage by Vaughn. Vaughn maintains the clinch.

Vaughn is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Abhijay rolls with it to try and escape but Vaughn cranks on the arm and Abhijay is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
