The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Appleberry throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Patton tries a head kick but it misses.
Patton misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Appleberry.
Patton tries to bum rush Appleberry with a series of wild strikes but Appleberry uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Patton misses with the combination.
Appleberry bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Appleberry lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
A lazy left from Appleberry finds it's target.
Appleberry scores with a nice right hand.
Patton lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Appleberry slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Appleberry staggers Patton with a jab and knocks him down with a follow up straight! Patton looks in trouble, will he beat the count?! The count has reached 5 and he's only back to 1 knee - it's going to be close! 6,7,8 - he's up! Just in time and the ref is going to let the fight continue!

and Appleberry counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Appleberry avoids a kick to the body.
Patton drops his hands momentarily and Appleberry needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Patton just on the top of the head. Patton drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Patton - he's done!

An out of breath Don Appleberry thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
