PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hh Tt (ranked 7068 p4p, 667 weight class) and Thor Halo (ranked 8079 p4p, 708 weight class). Thor Halo told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tt throws an overhand right that lands on Halo's shoulder, as Halo tries to avoid the shot.
Halo drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Tt defends it well.
Halo throws a lazy right hand but Tt sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Tt connects with a body shot.
Halo moves out of range of the strikes.
Tt looks to land a left hand but Halo moved out of range nicely.
Halo slips a jab from Tt.
Halo swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Halo slips a straight right by Tt.
Halo bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Tt's head backwards.

Halo scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

It looked like Tt wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Tt lands with a shot to the body.

and Tt counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Halo throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Tt looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

and Halo takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Halo attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Tt moves away from the strike by Halo.
Halo takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Tt connects with a body shot that sends Halo's belly button to the back.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Halo throws a low kick but Tt moves out of range easily.
Halo throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Halo moves in looking to clinch but Tt pushes him off.

Tt fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Halo manages to avoid it.
Halo swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Halo takes a swing at Tt's ribcage but misses.

Tt throws a good cross that connects.

Tt walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
