The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnsonville throws a big shot that misses.
Brandt is looking to counter with a shot to the body.

and Brandt connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

It looks like Leroy Johnsonville has been cut.
Brandt avoids a kick to the body.

Brandt closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Johnsonville's guard.

Brandt feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Johnsonville tries to kick Brandt off in order to stand up. Brandt Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.

Brandt decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Brandt has closed the distance and engaged Johnsonville in a clinch.

Brandt is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Brandt lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
