PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Braxxton Coleman (ranked 6176 p4p, 193 weight class) and Musa Kendali (ranked 5899 p4p, 189 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Kendali's choice of entrance music: Senegal National Anthem. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Bart Greer and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kendali missing with a left hand there. Coleman was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Coleman looking to score a takedown here. Kendali is defending well but Coleman drives through and ends up in Kendali's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kendali can do anything to dispel that myth.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Coleman is looking to sweep but instead, Kendali has passed into half guard.
Kendali seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Coleman does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Kendali landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Kendali lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Kendali takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Musa Kendali dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


A big right from Kendali misses.
Coleman throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Kendali drives through with a takedown into Coleman's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Kendali is standing up over Coleman. Coleman looks to escape but Kendali dives into side control.

Kendali wants to control but Coleman is keeping him busy.

Coleman manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Kendali lands a nice short elbow.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Kendali winds up and cracks Coleman with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Kendali looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Coleman is staying active underneath Kendali, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Kendali moves into full mount! Coleman won't be happy about that!
Kendali cracks Coleman with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Kendali has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Kendali is landing with some decent strikes but Coleman is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Kendali lands a big shot there that rocks Coleman but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
The referee warns Coleman that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Kendali lands a big shot to the head and Coleman winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
