Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Cecil Peabody and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Umber connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Bombs momentarily.


It looks like Bomb Bombs has been cut.
Umber has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Bombs is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Bombs closes the distance and clinches.
Bombs lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Umber wants to break free but Bombs has control.

Our sources have told us that Bombs has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight.

Bombs throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Umber swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Bombs.
Umber scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Bombs doesn't seem bothered though.
Umber throws an overhand right that lands on Bombs's shoulder, as Bombs tries to avoid the shot.
Umber falls off balance throwing a combination
and Bombs cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Umber throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Bombs counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Umber throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Umber falls off balance throwing a combination
and Bombs counters with a three punch combo that has Umber backing up. Umber nods at Bombs to acknowledge the strikes.
Bombs tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Umber throws a big shot that misses.
Bombs throws a counter high kick but Umber was just alert enough to avoid it.
Bombs takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Bombs slips under a jab from Umber.
Umber misses with a straight right.
Umber misses with a wild combination.

Bombs rushes Umber and presses him up against the cage.
Bombs tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Bombs keeps control of Umber as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Umber breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Umber will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A big left from Umber misses.
Bombs went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bombs is looking to clinch.
Bombs throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Umber.
Bombs connects with a jab.
Bombs dodges the punch combination from Umber.
Umber misses with a body shot.

Bombs lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Bombs has Umber pressed against the cage, preventing Umber from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Umber wants to get back to striking at distance but Bombs won't allow it.

Bombs throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Umber blocks it with crossed arms.

Umber pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

and Bombs counters with a nice body shot.

Bombs takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Umber misses with a shot to the body
and Bombs counters with a stiff right hand.
Umber lands with a good body shot.
Umber bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Bombs's head.
Bombs is looking to clinch.
Bombs tries to clinch up but Umber circles away and keeps his distance.
Umber shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Bombs eats them both and turns towards Umber to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Bombs keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Umber.
Bombs gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Umber gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jon Umber!
