Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kelly Mullen (ranked 5887 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ima Potato (ranked 5882 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Kelly Mullen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ima Potato!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Phil Schofield and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Potato moves into range and clinches up with Mullen.
Potato wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Potato controlling the action here for a moment.
Mullen stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Mullen really is a fat lump.
A bit of stalling here from Mullen.
Mullen gets a warning from the ref for wasting time.
Mullen prevents Potato from breaking the clinch.

Potato lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Potato is controlling the pace.
Potato trying to control the action but Mullen is working from the bottom.

The fighters are battling for position here. Mullen manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Potato controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Mullen is trying to control the position but Potato postures up.
Mullen tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Potato would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Potato throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Mullen gets a takedown into half guard.

Potato is looking to control Mullen's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Potato avoid being mounted?
Mullen prevents Potato from improving his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mullen throwing shots but Potato is blocking nicely.
Potato wants to improve his position but Mullen is controlling well.

Mullen is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Mullen has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Mullen stops Potato from getting back to his feet.

Potato wants to improve his position but Mullen is controlling well.
Mullen thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Potato's head.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Mullen is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Potato defends it well.

Potato manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Mullen decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Potato is looking to get back to is feet but Mullen passes into side control.
Potato tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Potato is looking to improve his position but Mullen isn't that keen on the idea.

Mullen thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Kelly Mullen will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Potato shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Mullen napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Mullen might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
You can see the frustration on Mullen's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Kelly Mullen overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Potato working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Mullen gets back to half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mullen pushes Potato off looking to stand but Potato dives back in and keeps control.

Potato wants to work for an arm triangle but Mullen is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Mullen manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Potato on his heels. He'll look to pass Potato's guard now, I'm sure.
Potato wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Mullen manages to pass to side control.
Potato really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mullen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Mullen thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Potato's head.
Mullen throwing shots but Potato is blocking nicely.
Potato keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Potato moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Mullen scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Potato is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Potato looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Mullen with a flurry of punches that miss.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Mullen gets tackled into the cage by Potato. Potato maintains the clinch.
Mullen stalls.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Potato wants to get back to striking at distance but Mullen won't allow it.

Potato manages to pull guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Ima Potato will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Mullen drops down looking for a counter takedown but Potato sprawls and moves away.

Potato dives in and scores a takedown into Mullen's guard.

Mullen is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Potato presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Potato has had enough of the clinch but Mullen keeps him there for the moment.

Mullen seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.
A frustrated look appears on Potato's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Potato has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Mullen is trying to keep an underhook but Potato manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Mullen manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Potato keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

Mullen throws an elbow that misses. Potato uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Mullen's guard. Nice move by Potato!

Potato is looking to pass into half guard but Mullen pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Mullen is in guard.

Mullen loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Potato has momentary wrist control but Mullen slips an elbow through the middle.

Mullen content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Mullen is looking to work some ground and pound but Potato has wrist control.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mullen accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

And that's the end of the fight!
Kelly Mullen showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Mullen has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
