The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Gracie fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bowman sprawls well initially but Gracie persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Gracie wants to take a breather but Bowman is having none of it.
We've been informed that Gracie has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Bowman wants to get back to full guard.
Gracie blocks the strikes from Bowman.
Bowman knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gracie on the ground.

Gracie thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gracie is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Bowman has escaped the position, nice work there.

Gracie has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Bowman is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Gracie has Bowman pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Gracie pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Bowman tumbling to the mat - Gracie dives into Bowman's guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Gracie closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Bowman to the mat! Bowman manages to get full guard.

Gracie escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bowman gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
