PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Deuce Ferrell (ranked 7909 p4p, 0 weight class) and Don Evela (ranked 24018 p4p, 0 weight class). Evela comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Face The Pain kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferrell shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Evela throws a counter combo.

Ferrell closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Ferrell is bucking up trying to escape but Evela cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Evela shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ferrell as he jumps to the side.

Ferrell is pressed up against the cage. Evela has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Ferrell down to the mat. Ferrell avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Ferrell tries to score a power double leg takedown but Evela sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ferrell somewhat.

Well Evela has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Don Evela was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
