Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Axel Foley (ranked 554 p4p, 74 weight class) and Ray Davis (ranked 1240 p4p, 162 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Michael Johnstone and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis throws a shot from downtown. Foley moves away and avoids it.
Davis looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Foley uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
It looks like Ray Davis has been cut.
The fighters circling - Davis throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Davis waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Foley.
Foley was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Foley changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Davis connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Davis on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Foley dodges the punch combination from Davis.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Davis walks into a stiff left hand from Foley.
Foley throws an overhand right that drops Davis like a sack of potatoes! Foley dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Axel Foley!

Axel Foley was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
Ray Davis was interviewed post fight and said 'Lets Get better next fight.'.
