Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jon Snow (ranked 1892 p4p, 230 weight class) and Lee Rowlands (ranked 7665 p4p, 634 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Snow connects with a looping right hand.
Rowlands shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Snow as he avoids it easily.

Snow closes the distance and clinches.
A right hook to the body lands for Snow.
Rowlands blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Rowlands goes for a takedown attempt but Snow pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Rowlands falls off balance throwing a combination

so Snow counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Snow connects with a couple of short punches.
Snow scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Snow keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Rowlands's head.
Rowlands utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Snow lands a couple of digs.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Rowlands is on top in guard.

Snow is trying to keep Rowlands in close.
Rowlands pushing down on Snow's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Snow wants to control but Rowlands is keeping busy.
Snow wants to get back to full guard.
Snow is trying to stand.
Snow has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Snow wants to improve his position but Rowlands is controlling well.

Snow throws a couple of heel strikes.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Snow is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Snow is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Snow connects with a nice short shot to Rowlands's temple.
Rowlands is not content to let Snow control the position.
Snow slips a nice elbow through Rowlands's hands, connecting with Rowlands's forehead.

Rowlands is rocked!
Snow lands a big elbow - Rowlands is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Snow!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jon Snow!
A relieved looking Jon Snow thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
