Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alonzo Trotter!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Luis Engracia and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abai tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Trotter swivels and escapes.
Abai shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Trotter defends it nicely.
Abai walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Ibrahim Abai seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Abai takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Abai.
Abai scores with a couple of short elbows.
Trotter tries to improve position but can't.
Abai misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Trotter tries to improve position but can't.
Trotter takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Trotter can't do much from the bottom here.
Trotter is trying to get back to half guard.
Abai is chipping away with strikes.
Trotter throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.
Trotter tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Abai wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Abai creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Trotter sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Abai creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
The ground and pound from Abai seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Trotter dodges the ground and pound from Abai.
Abai looks up at the clock and then as Trotter takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Abai smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Trotter is rocked!
Abai lands a big elbow and you can see that really hurt Trotter! Abai senses the opportunity and scores with more strikes - he's put Trotter out! The ref tackles him out of the way to prevent him landing more strikes - this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Ibrahim Abai!
