Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Beltran (ranked 2987 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anton Altair (ranked 2977 p4p, 158 weight class). Altair has chosen Bran's freestyle as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Ackerman and James Atkins.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Altair throws a low kick, looking for Beltran's leg but Beltran calmly moves out of range.
Altair misses with a hook.
Altair swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Altair goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

Beltran closes the distance and pushes Altair back into the cage.

Beltran breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Altair is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Beltran gets control of Altair's arms and successfully pulls guard. Beltran will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Beltran shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Altair's guard.

Beltran feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
