PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kim Barnes (ranked 24503 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Alfredo (ranked 7279 p4p, 619 weight class). Alfredo has chosen Despacito as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Barnes gets caught napping as Alfredo dives in and scores a takedown. Barnes manages to retain guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Barnes wants to get back to his feet but Alfredo is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Alfredo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Barnes has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Alfredo has managed to get both his arms back between Barnes's legs - danger averted.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Barnes enables Alfredo to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Barnes manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Alfredo connects with a nice short shot to Barnes's temple.

Well Alfredo has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
