Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Messer (ranked 3085 p4p, 120 weight class) and Bwana Mkubwa (ranked 3124 p4p, 124 weight class). Messer comes to the cage accompanied by Lumberjacks march-by Conway Twittie. Mkubwa has chosen You're Going Down as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Winston Howard and Ben Watson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mkubwa walks into a straight right hand from Messer.
Mkubwa takes a swing at Messer's ribcage but misses.
Messer lands with a hook. Mkubwa tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Messer has been working on his boxing with his coaches at White's ELITE Fitness Gym in the buildup to the fight.
Messer walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

It looks like Jeff Messer has been cut.
Messer is looking to clinch but Mkubwa is avoiding it.
Messer pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Mkubwa throws a jab when Messer was well out of range.
Bwana Mkubwa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mkubwa looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Messer on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Mkubwa tries to bum rush Messer with a series of wild strikes but Messer uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Messer throws a looping overhand right but Mkubwa ducks down to avoid it.
Messer swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A chopping leg kick lands by Mkubwa.
Mkubwa misses with a double jab
enabling Messer to counter with a crisp jab.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Messer throws a shot from downtown. Mkubwa moves away and avoids it.

Mkubwa lands a big right hand that sends Messer crashing to the mat! Mkubwa stays standing though and waves Messer back to his feet!

Messer is rocked!
Mkubwa lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Messer head around and knocks him out cold! Mkubwa hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Bwana Mkubwa!
Bwana Mkubwa really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Zenith Nutrition (160q/$200) logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
