Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lee Sin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Terell Ward!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Shigeki Fujiwara and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ward throws a jab but it's blocked by Sin.
Ward moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Sin swings for the body but Ward moves out of range.

Ward gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Sin to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Ward is looking for a triangle but Sin pushes his legs off easily.
Ward controls Sin momentarily but Sin frees himself.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sin wants to control from the top but Ward keeps moving.
Ward is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Sin is looking to improve his position.

Ward is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Sin has managed to free his arm - good work.
Sin wants to control but Ward is keeping busy.

Ward has his foot on Sin's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sin works his way back into a safe position though.
Sin slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Ward is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Sin stays in close to Ward's body and controls the position.
Sin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ward on the ground.

Ward is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Sin stands up over Ward, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Sin is sitting in close to Ward's body. Ward has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Sin is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Sin is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Ward.
