Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fletcher Bowen (ranked 24651 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clay Moore (ranked 4850 p4p, 0 weight class). Moore is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: The Liberty Bell. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Fletcher Bowen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Clay Moore!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Arvi Lind and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moore fails to land the takedown.
Bowen shoots in looking for a takedown. Moore tries to sprawl out of it but Bowen keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Moore manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Moore rushes Bowen and presses him up against the cage.

Bowen manages to break the clinch.
Clay Moore seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Moore misses with the body kick

and Bowen counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Moore!
Moore is trying to get back to half guard.

Bowen decides to stand up, so the ref orders Moore to his feet.

Moore darts in and clinches Bowen up against the cage.
Moore lands a body shot in the clinch.

Moore escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Moore goes for a double leg but Bowen avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Bowen continues to drive forward.
Bowen tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Moore manages to circle out of the way.

Moore clinches with his opponent.
Bowen wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Bowen is struggling to control the position.
Bowen tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Moore just stands there and leans against the cage.
Moore lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Bowen could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Bowen breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Moore tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Bowen defends well and Moore ends up having to push Bowen into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Fletcher Bowen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Clay Moore.

Bowen blocks a head kick by Moore.

Bowen scores with a takedown into Moore's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Moore is trying to keep Bowen in close.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Bowen's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Moore striking off his back but it's not causing Bowen any problems.

Bowen stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Moore lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.


It looks like Fletcher Bowen has been cut.
Moore shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Bowen eats them both and turns towards Moore to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Moore drives through and clinches with Bowen against the cage.
Moore is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Bowen is defending well for now.

Bowen breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Moore has managed to clinch.
Bowen wants a takedown.

Bowen manages to break the clinch.
Bowen stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bowen wants it to stay on the feet.

Moore bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Bowen pushes Moore away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Moore gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Moore wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bowen keeps working.
Moore is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Bowen will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Bowen manages to work his way to half guard, despite Moore's best efforts.
The fighters are battling for position here. Bowen manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Bowen manages to break the clinch.
Bowen misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Moore moves into the clinch successfully.
Bowen wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Bowen is looking to break free of the clinch but Moore has double underhooks.
Bowen can't get the takedown.

Moore is trying to trip Bowen. He has hold of a leg but Bowen is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Moore persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Bowen wants to get back to his feet but Moore is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Fletcher Bowen overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Moore must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Moore got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bowen has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Moore has managed to get both his arms back between Bowen's legs - danger averted.

Bowen has his foot on Moore's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Moore works his way back into a safe position though.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Moore is standing up over Bowen. Bowen looks to escape but Moore dives into side control.
Bowen is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Moore is controlling him well.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
The referee asks Moore politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Moore prefers to stall for the moment though.
Bowen regains half guard there - taking advantage of Moore's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
Bowen tries to kick Moore off but Moore keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Moore dives in for a single leg takedown but Bowen sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Bowen breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Clay Moore showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!



Bowen moves into the clinch successfully.
Bowen is trying to pull guard but Moore turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Moore jumps into guard, dragging Bowen to the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bowen postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Bowen wants to stand but Moore is controlling his posture from full guard.
Moore bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bowen's guard.

Bowen looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Moore is trying to pull guard but Bowen has him pressed against the cage.
Moore jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Bowen walks away with a smile on his face. Moore gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Moore bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Bowen's head.
Bowen fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Despite the aggression on Moore's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Moore moves into the clinch.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Bowen takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Bowen lands a hook to the side of the head.
Bowen tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Moore's elbow.

Bowen gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Moore pushes Bowen off and gets back to his feet.

Bowen fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Moore has taken the fight to the clinch.
Clay Moore seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
Moore slowing the pace effectively.

Moore breaks from the clinch.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Bowen enables Moore to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Bowen manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Moore has gone for a leg lock! Bowen slips out almost immediately though and dives into Moore's guard.

Bowen stands up from Moore's guard - Bowen perhaps looking for a knockout.
A slapping leg kick lands for Moore.
Bowen shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Moore but Moore pushes him off and we're back to square one.
This has been an exciting period of action!

The fighters are working up against the cage. Moore manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Clay Moore comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Moore winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
