Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Yasuhiro Akagi (ranked 3754 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Tupper (ranked 12245 p4p, 0 weight class). Akagi comes to the cage accompanied by Nash the Slash - American Band. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 25 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bobby Tupper!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Yves DeLean and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tupper doesn't manage to clinch there - Akagi circles away.
Tupper turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Tupper jabs Akagi to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Tupper gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Akagi.
Akagi keeps the fight on the outside.
Akagi half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Tupper throws a sloppy head kick and Akagi moves out of range easily.
Tupper's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Akagi connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Tupper scrambles back to his feet.

Tupper closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Tupper will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Akagi closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Tupper did well to prevent Akagi getting side control.
Akagi is trying to control. Tupper wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Akagi is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Akagi prevents Tupper from standing back up.

Akagi is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Tupper sees it coming and defends easily.
Akagi seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Tupper does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Akagi seems to be working for a kimura but Tupper defends the submission attempt.
