Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Matthew Arnold!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ronald Bush!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Steve Montenegro and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bush gets tackled into the cage by Arnold. Arnold maintains the clinch.
Arnold throws an elbow but it misses.
Bush has Arnold pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Arnold manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Arnold's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Bush looks to clinch

and Arnold counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Arnold.

Bush pushes Arnold off and scrambles back to his feet.

and Arnold counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Arnold really is a fat lump.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Bush stands and throws Arnold's legs to the side, diving into side control.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Bush content to control rather than advance.
Arnold keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
Arnold wants to control but Bush is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Bush seems to be looking for submissions.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Bush wants to stand up but Arnold has a hold of him and won't allow it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Bush looks for a takedown but Arnold sprawls well.
Arnold swats away the attempt to clinch by Bush.

and Arnold decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Bush's guard.
Arnold postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

That was a close second round but I would say that Matthew Arnold will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Arnold's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Arnold is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Matthew Arnold is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

I would just about give that final round to Ronald Bush.
