The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lane tries a low kick but Lau avoids it.

Lane tries to keep at a distance but Lau has taken the fight into the clinch.
Lane wants to stall.
Lau blocks a punch to the side of the head.
A right hook to the body lands for Lane.
Lau throws a head punch that misses.
Lane prevents a body shot from Lau.
Lane misses with a short punch on the inside.
Lau blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Lane swings wildly with an uppercut but Lau uses good head movement to avoid it.
Lau tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Lau tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lau pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

A little jabbing left from Lau on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Lane uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lau.

Lau scores with a sloppy right hand. Lane should have avoided that one.

Lau throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Lane tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lau paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The fight stays on the outside here - Lane looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Lau throws an overhand right that drops Lane like a sack of potatoes! Lau dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
