Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Wangler (ranked 768 p4p, 120 weight class) and Gaultier Girard (ranked 712 p4p, 111 weight class). Wangler comes into the arena with The Clash - I Fought The Law blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bobby Wangler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gaultier Girard!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wangler scores with a body shot.
A slow jab from Wangler misses its intended target.
Wangler comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Wangler seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Wangler jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Girard misses with a hook to the body
and Wangler counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Wangler goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Girard scores with a punch to the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Girard clobbers Wangler with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

and Wangler counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Girard takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Horrible takedown attempt by Wangler or perhaps it was just good defense by Girard, which made it look bad.

The fighters circle momentarily. Wangler darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

and Girard counters with a nice low kick that buckles Wangler's knee momentarily.
Wangler just misses with a punch to the body.
Girard looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Wangler misses with a straight right.
Wangler looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Girard!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Wangler throws a strike aimed at the side of Girard's head but Girard avoids it well.
Girard tries to bench press Wangler off him but Wangler keeps the position.
Girard is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Girard can't do much from the bottom here.
Girard is trying to get back to half guard.

Wangler tries to advance to mount but can't.
Wangler fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Wangler cracks Girard with a big right hand but Girard just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Girard tries to improve position but can't.
Girard managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Wangler.
Wangler throws a strike aimed at the side of Girard's head but Girard avoids it well.

Wangler is working Girard over with some ground and pound from side control.
Wangler misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
The ground and pound from Wangler seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Wangler is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Girard knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Girard regains half guard, as Wangler was trying to land strikes.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Wangler throws a body punch but Girard moves out of range.
Wangler just misses with a punch to the body.
Wangler changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Girard tries to avoid it but Wangler manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Girard to the ground. Girard escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
It seemed like Girard was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Girard pulls out of a head kick attempt.

and Wangler counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Girard throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Wangler swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Wangler thows a leg kick but Girard checks it
and Girard counters with a nice leg kick.
Wangler lands a two punch combo.

Girard connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Wangler covering up! Girard comes in with a big uppercut and Wangler goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Gaultier Girard!
Gaultier Girard tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
