Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bruce Dante!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Donnely pushes Dante up against the cage in a clinch.
Dante looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Donnely is looking to take this one to the mat.
The referee is keeping an eye on Donnely - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Dante wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Donnely tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Dante just stands there and leans against the cage.
Dante is trying to push Donnely away but Donnely has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Dante blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Donnely tries for a takedown. No joy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vince Donnely. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dante prevents a takedown attempt there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dante breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Dante throws the kick towards the body but Donnely avoids it.

Dante throws a leg kick but Donnely sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Dante lands an overhand right.
Donnely has his takedown stuffed
and Dante counters with a left and a right that stings Donnely.
Dante plants his feet and throws a 3 punch combo. Miss, miss, boom! The third punch, a big right hook, connects right on the temple and drops Donnely to the mat, unconscious! This fight is all over! Donnely just couldn't keep out of the way of the whole flurry of punches!

Bruce Dante decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
