Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paul McDonald (ranked 1829 p4p, 72 weight class) and Dude Yu (ranked 4416 p4p, 156 weight class). McDonald comes to the cage accompanied by Set it Off. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Dean Styles and Franklyn Lucas.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yu lands a nice hook to McDonald's body. McDonald takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Yu throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck McDonald on the side of the head.

It looks like Paul McDonald has been cut.
McDonald moves to clinch but Yu breaks away
letting Yu counter with a right hand.
McDonald shoots in looking for a takedown. Yu tries to sprawl out of it but McDonald keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Yu manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Yu swats away the attempt to clinch by McDonald.
McDonald checks a leg kick.
Yu has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
McDonald tries to clinch but Yu is having none of it.
Yu throws a body punch but McDonald moves out of range.

Dude Yu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Yu looks to land a combination. McDonald sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

McDonald bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
McDonald advances nicely into full mount.
Yu is in all sorts of trouble here.
Yu tries to lock up and control but McDonald gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

McDonald moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Yu has worked his arm free - good work by Yu!

McDonald is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Yu knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

McDonald wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Yu, who protects the arm well.

McDonald is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Yu has escaped the position, nice work there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Yu takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

McDonald goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Yu rolls with the submission and now he's on top in McDonald's guard! Nice work there by Yu!

McDonald throws his legs up looking for a submission but Yu uses it to pass to side control.

McDonald works his way to full guard. Good work.

Let's hope that Yu has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Yu lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but McDonald circles away quickly and effectively.

McDonald tries to close the distance and clinch up but Yu swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Yu stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Dude Yu seems to be getting the better of the standup.

McDonald tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Yu paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Yu throws a good cross that connects.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
McDonald takes one to the chin there.

McDonald darts in trying to clinch
and Yu counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts McDonald off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Yu follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but McDonald was out before he hit the floor.
