Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dragan Draganov (ranked 24766 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexandru Mircea (ranked 6436 p4p, 0 weight class). Dragan Draganov looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Draganov bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Mircea tries to buck Draganov off but Draganov is having none of it.
Draganov remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Mircea is looking for a sweep.
Draganov wants to control but Mircea is keeping him busy.
Mircea is trying to control Draganov's posture but Draganov avoids it.

Draganov throws a big counter combination but Mircea scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Mircea throws out a counter right but Draganov avoids it with no problem.

It looked like Draganov wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Mircea throws a sloppy head kick and Draganov moves out of range easily.
Draganov tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Mircea cracks Draganov with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Mircea has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Draganov to stand back up!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Mircea lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Mircea fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Draganov manages to avoid it.
Draganov feinted with a counter takedown.
Draganov takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Draganov has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Mircea.

Mircea connects with a solid leg kick.
Mircea throws a nice inside leg kick.
Alexandru Mircea is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Draganov takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Draganov avoids the body shot from Mircea.
Draganov is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Mircea throws a body shot but no joy.
Mircea is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Draganov rather than just go for the knockout.

Alexandru Mircea seems to be getting the better of the standup.

and Draganov decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Mircea's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Draganov is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!

Draganov is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Mircea is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mircea wants to improve his position but Draganov is controlling well.
