The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barbosa looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Poulter misses with a series of wild punches.
Barbosa slips a jab and a cross from Poulter.
We've been hearing reports that Barbosa has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Barbosa rushes Poulter and presses him up against the cage.

Poulter takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Barbosa throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Poulter stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Barbosa uses his free foot to push down on Poulter's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Poulter.
