Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Elijah Jarvis (ranked 8227 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clay Moore (ranked 4351 p4p, 0 weight class). Moore has chosen The Liberty Bell as his entrance music. Clay Moore has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Elijah Jarvis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Clay Moore!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Roosa Järviläinen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moore shoots and misses

and Jarvis counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Jarvis.

Jarvis pulls guard successfully.
Moore looking to sit in guard and control but Jarvis gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Jarvis lands a couple of digs.
Jarvis looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Jarvis postures up in Moore's guard and throws a big left but Moore blocks it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jarvis's corner is telling him to maintain position.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Moore has eaten all the pies!
Moore being controlled here, momentarily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jarvis has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Jarvis wanted to stand there but Moore had control of the position.
Moore looking to control.
Jarvis preventing the sweep.
Jarvis sitting in guard here, content to control.
Moore trying to keep a closed guard but Jarvis is proving a slippery customer.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Jarvis engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Jarvis cracks Moore with a good jab.
Moore tries a head kick but it misses.
Moore misses with a lunging right hand

and Jarvis decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Moore's guard.
Jarvis postures up.
Jarvis stays in close to Moore's body and controls the position.

Jarvis stands up from Moore's guard - Jarvis perhaps looking for a knockout.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Moore gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Jarvis counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Jarvis avoiding damage as Moore throws knees to the body.
Moore is trying to drag Jarvis to the mat but Jarvis just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Elijah Jarvis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Clay Moore.

Jarvis manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Jarvis looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Jarvis is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Moore is controlling him.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Jarvis is on top in guard.

Jarvis forces his way into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Moore scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Jarvis manages to mount him!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Elijah Jarvis dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Moore with a poor takedown

and Jarvis counters by clinching up.
Moore is looking to control Jarvis's arms but Jarvis gets an underhook and turns him. Now Moore has his back to the cage.

Jarvis is trying to trip Moore. He has hold of a leg but Moore is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Jarvis persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Moore is wriggling around but Jarvis manages to pass to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jarvis working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Jarvis is trying to work for a kimura but Moore is defending well.

Jarvis decides to stand and escape the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Moore feints and then cracks Jarvis's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Jarvis down.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Moore connects with a crisp jab.
Jarvis showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Moore.
Jarvis waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Moore.

Jarvis closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Jarvis has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Jarvis manages to capitalize on a mistake by Moore to take his back!
Jarvis is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Jarvis is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Moore knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Moore for a finish.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Jarvis has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Moore is defending well but eventually Jarvis manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Moore has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Elijah Jarvis!
