Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Future Goat (ranked 5970 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dustin Somm (ranked 4885 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Somm closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Somm is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Goat pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Goat lands a hook that snaps the head of Somm backwards.
Somm tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Goat smiles and moves away.
Somm takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Goat lands a glancing blow to the side of Somm's head.
Goat stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Somm.
A shot to the body from Somm misses
and Goat counters with a one-two to the body.
A cross from Goat lands.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Goat dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Somm changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Goat tries to avoid it but Somm manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Goat to the ground. Goat escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Future Goat has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dustin Somm.

Somm tries a head kick but it misses.
Somm changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Goat tries to avoid it but Somm manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Goat to the ground. Goat escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Goat manages to stand up with Somm still on his back. Eventually Somm drops to his feet and we're back in the standing position.

Somm ducks right into an uppercut from Goat.
Goat keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Goat throws a combination. Somm tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

It looks like Dustin Somm has been cut.
It looks like Goat has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.
Goat fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Somm looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Somm goes for a double leg but Goat avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Goat continues to drive forward.

and Goat counters with a shoot takedown. Somm fights it but they end up in guard.

Somm pushes Goat off and gets back to his feet.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Goat lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Goat is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Somm can do to turn this around?

Goat lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Goat lands a nice shot to the body.
Somm's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Goat connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Somm scrambles back to his feet.

Goat shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Goat was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Somm working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Goat doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Goat manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
